Are you ready to embark on Adelaide’s most spectacular boat ride? These self-driven, donut shaped boats are the talk of the Torrens and offer a completely unique, fun and adventurous way to spend quality time with family, friends and workmates. Our Buoys come with either a BBQ or table in the middle, have a wide selection of drinks available and can fit up to 10 people per boat. So whether you have an upcoming birthday, hens/bucks, corporate event or are just looking for something fun to do in Adelaide, BBQ Buoys have all bases covered to ensure you have the maximum amount of #funafloat!
HOW IT WORKS

Pricing is based on the number of people coming aboard for some #funafloat. Most of our Buoys hold up to 10 people (to a max of 1,000kg/2,200 lbs). Babies under 12 months are most welcome on board, receive a suitable life jacket and don't count as passengers because they travel on your lap. Everyone else counts as a full person (sorry, not exceptions - maritime laws apply). For larger crews, please check our group booking options.

Depending on the season, day and time of your preferred cruise, we recommend booking 4-6 weeks in advance. There's no need to order drinks and food at the time of booking. You can book your cruise today and add any extras later, even up to 1 day before the cruise.

Choose from a classic and premium range of South Australia's most popular boutique wine labels and breweries.
Enjoy an individually prepared Cheese 'n Meat platter, prepared with lots of love and made from local produce wherever possible. We have two sizes available: the regular (nibbles for 6p) and large (nibbles for 10p). Gluten Free, Vegetarian and Vegan options are available for all sizes.
Add a little luxe with premium tableware (porcelain plates, glass cups and stainless steel cutlery). Dress your skipper with a captain's hat and spoil the beer lovers with a stubby holder to keep their drinks cool.

Every boat is equipped with either a certified safe gas barbecue or a table top. You'll be asked to select one option when you book but you can let us know any time before the cruise if your food plans change.

At the time of booking, pay in full for the boat hire and any extras added to your order. If you book more or all extras at a later stage, we'll charge the same credit card unless you advice us otherwise. We accept AMEX, MasterCard, Visa and Alipay.

With BBQ Buoys, it's on for young and old and we love seeing people of all ages on board! Children aged 12 and under (including infants) must wear the provided life jacket at all times while on board, and we have suitable life jackets for everyone else tucked away on the Buoy. To hire a Buoy you must be 21 years old, it's an insurance thing.

We leave it up to you to decide what to eat on board. Choose a BBQ and cook yourself a culinary masterpiece, or select a table and bring some nibbles. We can offer pre prepared cheese and meat platters which must be ordered 3 or more days in advance.

As long as you are at least 21 years old and have a valid car driver's licence, you can hire a Buoy. "P" license is accepted "L" licenses unfortunately not. No boat licence and experience needed. Our crew explain how everything works during check-in and will give you some top secret skipper tips to ensure you come back a fully fledged Captain of the Torrens!

The Flexi Option allows rescheduling up to 24 hours before your cruise so if conditions are looking less than ideal, you have the peace of mind of rebooking on a better day. Bear in mind if the weather is extreme (rain, wind, heat over 38°C), we will rescedule all bookings!

It's a licensing thing but not to worry; we have you covered with a great selection of South Australian beers, wine and cider and classic soft drinks available to purchase from the menu. You can BYO water, juice for the kids or some coffee/tea if it's an early cruise.
$100 cash deposit required.

A $100 deposit will be taken on the day of your cruise which will be refunded after the cruise if you come back on time and comply with our Terms and Conditions.
