    • Minimum age 21 years

      While we love seeing people of all ages on board; you must be at least 21 years old to book (it's an insurance thing).

    • Full drivers licence required

      As long as you are at least 21 years old and have a valid driver's licence, you can hire a Buoy. No boat licence and experience needed. Provisional (P plate) licences are accepted, however learners permits are not.

    • No boat licence required

      No boat licence or prior boating experience is required to book. Our staff will give you a full run down on how to operate the Buoys, they're super easy to get the hang of and you'll be a pro in no time!

    • $100 deposit on the day

      A $100 deposit will be taken on the day of your cruise which will be refunded within the next 48 hours if you come back on time and comply with our Terms and Conditions.

    • After sunset limited operating area

      After sunset, the operating area is limited between King William St. bridge and the weir.

    • Drinks

      Choose from a classic and premium range of some of South Australia's most popular boutique wine labels and breweries.

    • Cheese platter

      Enjoy an individually prepared Cheese 'n Meat platter, prepared with lots of love and made from local produce wherever possible. We have two sizes available: the regular (nibbles for 6p) and large (nibbles for 10p). Gluten Free, Vegetarian and Vegan options are available for all sizes.

    • Tableware

      Add a little luxe with premium tableware (porcelain plates, glass cups and stainless steel cutlery). One set per person of eco-friendly wooden cutlery, BioCane plates, napkins, wine glasses and tongs in case you want a BBQ on board is already included in each booking.

    • Stubby holders

      Spoil the beer lovers with a stubby holder to keep their drinks cool.

    • Captain's hat

      Dress your skipper with a captain's hat.

  • What to bring on the day?

    • Food

      If you're bringing your own food that requires cooling, please bring in either insulated bags or a small-medium esky as it might not fit in with your drinks. Our BBQ's are LPG gas and have both a grill and hotplate.

    • Crew

      Remember to only come with the amount of people you book for. If you have extras coming, please let us know. Remember 10 is the maximum number of people that can fit on the Buoy, 11 is not possible (sorry). Babies under 12 months old don't count as passengers.

    • Thirst for adventure

      Bring a smile and an appetite for a good time! With the operating area being from the Frome Road/Adelaide Zoo bridge to the end of the weir, there's plenty of river to roam in your 2 hour cruise! Run out of drinks while you're out? Not to worry, just let the BBQ Buoys team know and we'll whip them out to you in no time.
